Supporting you, your child and your family.
Supporting you, your child and your family.
With an innate, proven ability and genuine desire to support children and their families, I bring a unique approach to the field of intervention for autistic children and parent support and coaching. My extensive experience and knowledge allow me to make a significant difference for families.
I am energised by the success of evidence-based intervention. It is evident in the child’s skills and independence and in the parents’ relief and joy at seeing their child growing and developing in ways they thought were impossible. This enhances the quality of life for the child and their family.
As a positive behaviour practitioner, I have the opportunity to delve deeper into an individual’s physiology, relationships, and environment. This holistic approach enables me to understand each individual’s unique needs and provide tailored strategies to better support them and improve their quality of life.
I have two adult children and one grandson. In my free time, I enjoy camping, dining with my husband and long walks on the beach.
I am passionate about fostering independence in children with Autism through education and functional practice of everyday skills. I strive to make sessions fun and interactive, filled with smiles and laughter. Building trust is paramount, valuing their input and finding ways to overcome challenges in their unique ways. This approach not only enhances engagement but also fosters a positive environment where each child feels empowered and valued.
I am dedicated to working closely with families to ensure I provide a collaborative, strength-based approach. I pride myself on creating strong relationships with the child to achieve maximum engagement and progress.
In my free time, I enjoy keeping active and getting outdoors. I also currently work independently as a Disability Support Worker, which has greatly helped me within the scope of my OT practice.
My passion lies in helping people of all ages, from children to adults, achieve their full potential and independence.
With a diverse background in paediatrics, mental health (adolescents and adults), sensory processing, NDIS, and private practice; I’m skilled in supporting a wide range of needs, from autism spectrum disorder to physical disabilities.
I believe in celebrating a person’s unique abilities (“differently-abled”) and fostering their independence for a fulfilling life. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. I’m here to help you reach your goals and live a life of abundance.
With over a decade of experience as an Early Childhood Educator working in Education Support, I have been privileged to work extensively with Autistic children and their families.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Hello You team, in various capacities, since the beginning of 2023. In addition to providing Early Intervention Therapy, I manage administrative tasks such as social media, invoicing, resource preparation, and program planning.
My approach and experience align closely with Hello You’s mission, focusing on providing compassionate and comprehensive support to children and families.
In addition to my work here, I also enjoy the dynamic role of relief teaching across various Ed Support schools and centres. In my spare time, I love hanging out with family and friends, and with my two crazy cats!
